Description
The Senior Pipeline Engineer will be based in our Minneapolis office and will oversee pipeline engineering and consulting services for clients across the US. Key responsibilities include leading the creation of pipeline design deliverables. Projects vary in size and complexity, from small utility upgrades to large transmission projects. This role offers opportunities for growth into leadership positions.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering activities and project execution
Design pipelines, including plans, profiles, details, and bill of materials
Design pipeline facilities such as metering stations, storage upgrades, and compressor stations
Coordinate surveys, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisition
Perform calculations for studies and reports
Specify materials and equipment for procurement and testing
Develop proposals, scopes, concepts, and execution plans
Estimate project costs and schedules
Coordinate design activities across disciplines
Improve processes and testing procedures
Provide leadership, training, and mentorship
Communicate regularly with clients and external personnel
Support field activities during construction
Assist in business development and marketing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 7+ years of pipeline engineering experience, EPC project experience
Or Bachelor’s in Engineering Technology with FE exam completion and 7+ years of experience, EPC
Or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 6+ years of experience, EPC
Strong knowledge of engineering techniques and tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF
Excellent communication skills
Experience leading large projects and delegating tasks
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Attention to detail, team building, and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform quality reviews and travel as needed
PE license is
Compensation
$135,000 - $210,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation includes base salary and potential bonuses.
