Job Description
Perficient is seeking a seasoned Pega Lead with hands-on technical and account leadership experience. This is a customer facing role responsible for driving business growth and assisting with GTM strategy. The role requires technical experience on the Pega platform along with consultative selling. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Business Development, and Sales to identify growth opportunities, validate solutions, and reinforce Perficient's reputation as a trusted IT Services and Pega partner. This role is hybrid in nature requiring time spent at customer sites or at a Perficient location as needed. While our headquarters is located in St. Louis, MO, this position can be based anywhere within the United States where we have a Perficient presence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Development: Design and evolve Perficient's Pega solution offerings, ensuring technical excellence and market relevance.
- Enterprise Services: Design services that are essential for enabling business functions, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining service quality across departments.
- Innovation Leadership: Drive innovation across the Pega portfolio, leveraging business insight and technical expertise.
- Performance Optimization: Implement initiatives to enhance delivery team performance and service quality across the portfolio.
- Market Analysis: Evaluate service capabilities, financial performance, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
- Framework & Roadmap Creation: Contribute to business planning, develop technical roadmaps, update operational frameworks, and design cross-technology strategies.
- Enablement & Training: Build enablement materials and train delivery teams on Pega AI capabilities and technical best practices.
- Sales Collaboration: Partner with Business Development and Sales to identify new service opportunities, validate solutions, and build compelling customer value propositions.
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
- Prepare solution Blueprints and value-based proposals tailored to client needs
- Lead discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their business challenges, technical environments, and strategic goals.
- Translate discovery insights into high-level solution architectures aligned with Pega best practices and platform capabilities.
- Develop resource plans, project timelines, and effort estimates to support sales pursuits and client proposals.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders-including Sales teams, Delivery Leads, and Clients-to define winning engagement strategies.
Proposal & Sales Support
- Craft compelling solution narratives, architecture diagrams, scope definitions, and supporting documentation for sales presentations.
- Contribute to the development of Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring accurate scoping, deliverables, and delivery models.
- Support RFP/RFI responses by leveraging existing assets and creating new content that provides strategic and technical guidance.
- Partner with Perficient's Pega Leadership team to position the company as a trusted advisor and consulting partner.
Collaboration & Enablement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate the Pega ecosystem and adopt scalable, value-driven solutions.
- Work closely with Perficient's Pega sales, delivery, and industry teams to align with go-to-market strategies and industry trends.
- Stay current on Pega product updates, new features, and platform innovations to continuously refine sales strategies and solution offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications: Pega CSSA or LSA certification
- Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with Pega Infinity and strategic industry frameworks
- Strategic Experience: Proven track record in Pega presales, solution development, and IT consulting.
- Technical Breadth: Hands on understanding of Pega capabilities including case management, decisioning, Process AI, Integrations and cloud migrations
- Business Acumen: Strong financial and strategic insight to assess service profitability and market competitiveness.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or commensurate experience.
Work Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or a combination of both.
- 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional, matrixed teams in a pre-sales or consulting capacity.
- Proven experience in Pega migrations and implementations.
- Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making
- Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations
- Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $ 202,730.
