Senior OSS/BSS Software Architect - Recruiting Choices

Recruiting Choices is seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and collaborative Senior Software Architect to drive the design and implementation of Operational and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) for innovative In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) solutions. In this strategic role, you will act as a technical leader, mentor software engineering teams, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• OSS/BSS Architecture and Development:

  • Lead the architecture design and development of OSS/BSS solutions including onboarding and commissioning endpoints, subscription management, billing, and service delivery.

  • Evaluate, select, integrate, and customize third-party platforms as well as develop proprietary software solutions.

• Technical Requirements Management:

  • Define, document, and manage technical requirements (functional, performance, security) through collaboration with stakeholders, operators, and end-users to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate closely with software developers, testers, network engineers, product managers, operations teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure effective integration and operation within the IFC ecosystem.

• Quality and Compliance Assurance:

  • Establish and oversee rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, liaising with auditors as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience).

• 10+ years experience as a software developer, network engineer, or related role focused on OSS/BSS systems in large-scale distributed environments.

• Minimum 5 years of architecture and technical leadership experience specifically with OSS/BSS systems.

• Deep expertise in OSS/BSS functions including endpoint commissioning, subscription management, billing, and service orchestration.

• Proven hands-on experience with platforms like Ericsson Expert Analytics, Amdocs, Openet, and ServiceNow (TSM and TSOM).

• Experience integrating OSS/BSS systems with Salesforce platforms (Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud), with strong understanding of Salesforce APIs and data models.

• Solid knowledge of distributed systems and architectures, including microservices, service-oriented architectures, and RESTful APIs.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing technologies, particularly containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud- solutions.
