Senior Operations Training Specialist

Job Purpose

The Senior Operations Training Specialist coordinates the Operations Training function efforts to ensure that all Operations Training programs, processes, and procedures are developed and managed to ensure compliance to all applicable FANR regulatory requirements along with any internal and external commitments.  He/she needs to track and periodically audit/assess Operation Training programs, processes, and procedures to assure that Operations Training documents are updated and revised accordingly.

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability

• coordinate response to FANR Inspection findings and comments related to Operations training and examinations.
• Proactivly review training documents to ensure regulatory requirements and commitments.
• Lead evaluations and assessments focusing on improving Ops Training Program effectiveness. Develop Corrective Actions in support of enhancing Training efficiency.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)

• Ensure that all Operations training procedures, processes, and training material complies with the current revision of the CTP.
• Proactivly challenge station processes to improve efficiency without reducing safety.
• Research and suggest any changes for future revisions to the CTP.
• Screen and present to CRC all CTP revisions IAW station procedures and FANR requirements

Previosly Qualified as a Senior Reactor Operator
