We are currently seeking an Operations Engineer to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment. As an Operations Engineer you will be responsible for helping to maintain and improve Lunar Outposts systems and infrastructure so that it can effectively design, develop, and deploy vehicles to the lunar surface and space. This includes working with company leadership and across the organization to develop and maintain processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out necessary tasks with the Operations teams to ensure that Lunar Outpost operates effectively
- Work with departments across the company to analyze processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement fixes, creating consistency and efficiency across the company
- Participate in root cause analyses to drive preventive and corrective actions
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders
- Identify, develop, and execute improvement opportunities to enable business scalability
- Work with company leadership to execute strategies to achieve company growth targets
- Establish and report on company metrics to inform leadership and stakeholders on the accurate state of projects and the company
- Create and maintain documentation and work instructions for operational procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable Engineering or Finance discipline
- 3+ years experience
- Experience implementing effective processes and procedures
- High attention to detail
- High expectation for quality and able to hold self and others accountable for those expectations
- Solid quantitative skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Self-starter and solutions focused approach
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
- Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent organization and time management skills

Qualifications:
- MBA or business operations experience
- Work in aerospace or DoD contracts
- Experience leading others
- Work with quality standards, such as AS9100 or ISO9001
Any offer of employment for this position is conditional upon Lunar Outpost receiving the LTVS SubCLIN 1C Awardfrom NASA. If the contract is not awarded to Lunar Outpost, this offer will be considered null and void, without further obligation to Lunar Outpost.
Compensation & Benefits: Compensation level and base salary are competitively structured and thoughtfully determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, and the scope of the role.
