Position Summary:
This position requires demonstrated technical proficiency in software design and configuration of MES solutions with integration capabilities to level two and four systems. The Senior MES Engineer will interact directly with the customer and lead a team of engineers in identifying requirements, evaluating MES platforms, developing specifications, and implementing/testing/commissioning/qualifying MES solutions. This is a leadership role requiring strong problem-solving skills, balanced people skills, and the ability to deliver repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of MES solutions including solution architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, and commissioning.

• Oversee project management activities including scope, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and task delegation.

• Act as the technical lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

• Develop and execute project plans and budgets up to $1M.

• Engage in business development, proposal , and customer relationship management.

• Design MES architecture integrating ERP, PLC/DCS, databases, historians, and reporting tools.

• Participate in trade shows, industry events, and strategy discussions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences.

• 10+ years of overall experience in MES, with at least 4 years in Life Sciences.

• Proven MES deployment experience (Werum PAS-X, Sepasoft, POMS).

• Proven track record with GAMP5, S88, S95 standards.

• Familiarity with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.

• System integration experience with DeltaV, SAP, LIMS, PI, Maximo.

• Proficient with SQL, Oracle, or similar databases.

• Strong business development aptitude.

• Able to travel up to 25%.

Nice to Have:

• Experience from a systems integrator.

• Experience leading a regional engineering team or office.
