We are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a Tier 1 contracting operation, leading delivery on complex large commercial and industrial mechanical building services projects. This role demands a process-driven professional who can navigate the rigours of Tier 1 governance while delivering technical excellence and programme performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full delivery of mechanical packages on large commercial and industrial projects, ensuring alignment with Tier 1 process and governance frameworks
Drive project planning, resource allocation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover of HVAC, plumbing, and associated mechanical systems
Interface with clients, design consultants, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation
Manage subcontractors and on-site teams to maintain quality, cost control, and programme adherence
Embed and enforce Tier 1 quality, health & safety, and environmental standards across all stages
Chair progress and coordination meetings; produce structured reports and change control documentation
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large commercial or industrial projects (Tier 1 or equivalent delivery environment )
Strong familiarity with Tier 1 processes: programme control, risk management, quality systems, commercial governance, and formal reporting
Technical knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC, process cooling/heating, and complex M&E integration
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, or equivalent); mechanical/service delivery accreditation advantageous
Track record of delivering projects on time, to budget, and to high-specification standards
