Position Summary
Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for vertical infrastructure projects in the Federal and state & local government markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and provide technical guidance to mechanical project teams.
- Manage and attend client meetings, ensuring project objectives are met.
- Oversee construction phase services with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and learning.
- Contribute to business development efforts with innovative solutions.
- Regular travel to military bases and airports as part of lead mechanical engineer role.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
- PE license in any state and have the ability to obtain in additional states as needed.
- Expertise in many mechanical system types, such as hot water, chilled water, condenser water systems, VAV, Geothermal, VRF systems, DDC control systems
- Experience in sustainable design, steam systems, commissioning services, and plumbing systems.
- Proven track record as a project lead.
- Experience in designing mechanical systems for Federal Government projects.
- Commitment to sustainable design and innovation.
- Ideal candidate has performed federal DoD or Guard services work
