Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer ready to take on a senior role with leadership responsibility?



We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team, driving the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions across a diverse range of projects.



This hands-on role will see you working with mechanical structures, rotating drives, and control systems, ensuring designs meet industry standards while delivering on time and to the highest quality. Alongside your technical expertise, you'll provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, helping to maintain and elevate engineering standards within the department.



Key Responsibilities



Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the team, supporting professional development and ensuring consistent high-quality engineering outputs.

Create detailed designs, assemblies, and engineering drawings using company design tools (Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD).

Proactively identify and implement the right engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Generate new and modify existing designs, datasheets, and documentation to support costing, testing, and manufacturing.

Deliver hands-on design work in the areas of mechanical structures, rotating drives, and control systems.

Identify and resolve issues that may impact technical delivery, schedules, safety, or certification.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production engineering, project management, operations, and supply chain to align outputs with business objectives.

Report progress, contribute to design reviews, and produce technical reports as required.

Undertake additional duties compatible with the scope of the role.About You



Qualifications / Education / Training



HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).Technical Skills / Experience



Strong background in mechanical design engineering.

Proven ability to generate complex engineering drawings and models.

Proficient in Autodesk Product Design Suite (Inventor and AutoCAD).Personal Attributes



Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communicator, confident in cross-functional collaboration.
