The Opportunity

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer III who will be a key contributor to designing innovative HVAC and plumbing systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing technical solutions, leading mechanical design on multidisciplinary projects, and collaborating directly with clients, architects, and internal teams from concept through construction.

What You'll Do

  • Lead HVAC and mechanical design efforts from schematic design through construction administration

  • Create and review HVAC and plumbing systems drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis to support sustainable design

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate construction documents and specifications for permitting

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, structural, electrical) to ensure seamless design integration

  • Communicate directly with clients, providing project updates, technical guidance, and coordination

  • Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables

  • Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, promoting technical growth within the team

  • Assist in writing proposals and developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets

  • Provide on-site visits, punch list walkthroughs, and post-design construction support

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical systems design (HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection)

  • Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Understanding of building codes, mechanical design standards, and construction documentation

  • Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams

  • EIT or PE license (or actively pursuing licensure)

  • Project management experience is a plus

  • Ability to travel occasionally (0–10%)

Compensation

Estimated Salary Range: $95,000 – $145,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
