About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Piping/Plumbing Designer to join our design and coordination team in Fenton, MI. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative environment that values hands-on experience and real-world problem-solving.
This is an onsite position with a company known for its employee loyalty, stability, and opportunities for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and coordinate plumbing systems for construction projects using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and Fabrication CADMEP.
- Modify documents based on project manager, estimator, and fabrication shop markups.
- Create spool drawings and coordination documents for project teams.
- Participate in Revit, fabrication, and coordination meetings.
- Follow company Revit standards and assist during project setup.
- Sketch or model rough layouts and calculate dimensions, clearances, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Support lean construction and manufacturing practices to improve design efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of plumbing or MEP design and coordination experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADMEP, and related design tools.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build, or ACC is a plus.
- Field or fabrication experience .
- Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Trade School degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
