Senior Mechanical Designer & Team Lead (2D AutoCAD)
Location: Richfield, WI (Onsite; within 45-minute commute)
Employment: Full-Time, Permanent W-2 (No relocation)
Compensation: $75,000–$90,000 + Full Benefits
Eligibility: U.S. or Green Card Holder

Role Overview
As our Senior Mechanical Designer & Team Lead, you’ll spend 70% of your time crafting detailed 2D AutoCAD designs for industrial heat-transfer systems and 30% mentoring a small team of designers. Though our clients work almost exclusively in 2D, you may occasionally produce 3D drawings for special requests.
Key Responsibilities
- 2D Design (70%): Create precise 2D AutoCAD drawings for custom heat-transfer equipment and related components.
- Team Leadership (30%): Coach, review work, and manage project priorities for a small group of designers.
- Occasional 3D Support: Generate basic 3D AutoCAD models when customer requirements dictate.
- Produce and revise a variety of technical schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication prints.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on 2D AutoCAD design in a manufacturing environment; 4+ years leading engineering staff.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Expertise: Strong preference for—and commitment to—2D AutoCAD; familiarity with heat-transfer system design.
- Work History: Consistent career progression without short-term roles.
- Logistics: Onsite availability; residence within a 45-minute drive.
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. or hold a Green Card.
