Our client s in search of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with healthcare experience ready to lead and execute a wide array of projects across diverse sectors, encompassing local and national realms,
In this role, you will engage with clients, foster client and design team relationships, and actively participate in site surveys and project meetings.
Your role will involve orchestrating the coordination and delivery of individual projects, while also playing an integral part in the mentorship and development of junior engineers. You will be responsible for generating comprehensive designs, detailed drawings, and intricate schematics, employing software tools like IES, IES-VE, AutoCAD, MagiCAD, and Revit. All of your work will diligently adhere to the relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and other pertinent standards, including those concerning energy efficiency and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a BEng or MEng degree.
- Demonstrate substantial expertise in the healthcare sector, coupled with a robust knowledge of HTMs and HBNs or transferrable skills, including experience in cleanroom/laboratory design.
- Maintain active membership with IHEEM.
- Accumulate several years of postgraduate experience.
- Hold memberships in associated professional bodies such as MCIBSE or MIMechE.
- Showcase exceptional proficiency in mechanical building services design, coupled with a thorough understanding of technical requisites, legal regulations and industry best practices.
- Exhibit a strong grasp of commercial insights and experience in managing project finances in alignment with predefined targets.
- Possess robust project management capabilities, allowing for the simultaneous management of multiple projects with varying dimensions and complexities.
- Bring an enthusiastic, can-do attitude to all aspects of the role.
- Display unwavering confidence in interactions with clients and within the organizational framework, projecting a professional image and offering support to colleagues.
