ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer\n\nTERM- Permanent\n\nLOCATION – London\n\nSALARY- £40,000 - £60,000, dependent on experience \n\nMy client designs and manufactures new technology and bespoke solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in London on a permanent basis.\n\nThe Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nAt least 3 years’ experience in a similar Mechanical / Design Engineering position\nEager to design and develop new technology\nBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.\nDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar\nPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment\nKnowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.\nGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nProficient using MS Office\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team \n\n The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n\nUsing 3D CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\nInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs\nChecking drawings for sign off\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \n\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
