Kenton Black are recruiting for a permanent Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager in Aberdeen.
Our client, a medium to large mechanical/electrical subcontractor with a strong presence in the North East of Scotland, is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects and play a key part in the management of mechanical installations / maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight & Delivery Lead mechanical contracts from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership & Coordination Manage and mentor site supervisors, engineers, and tradespeople, promoting collaboration and high performance across all project teams.
- Technical & Commercial Review Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, assess contract terms, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Health, Safety & Compliance Uphold rigorous health and safety standards across all sites, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Cost Control & Procurement Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor services, monitor project costs, and implement value engineering strategies where appropriate.
- Reporting & Documentation Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and financial forecasts for senior leadership, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
What You Bring:
- Proven track record as a Contracts Manager within the sub contracting environment
- Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and sound commercial/technical judgement
- A proactive, confident approach with excellent communication skills
