Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor – Cleanroom Projects – Remote\n£95,000 – £110,000 annual salary\nFully remote role with occasional travel to Europe\n\nWe are seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial delivery of cleanroom projects across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and semiconductor industries.\n\nThis role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with deep expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within highly specialized, controlled environments. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while providing leadership and mentoring to junior team members.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans, including interim valuations and final accounts for M&E packages.\n\n * Oversee and manage construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT, ensuring compliance and smooth delivery.\n\n * Manage the procurement process for subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist M&E service providers.\n\n * Identify and assess risks, manage variations, and resolve claims effectively.\n\n * Work closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.\n\n * Prepare accurate monthly cost reports and provide commercial insights to senior management and stakeholders.\n\n * Support and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering professional development within the team.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Strong expertise in M&E systems and construction practices for complex, controlled environments, such as cleanrooms.\n\n * Proven experience delivering projects within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or semiconductor sectors.\n\n * Excellent working knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and JCT).\n\n * Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in software such as CostX, Excel, and MS Project.\n\n * Exceptional stakeholder management and client care skills.\n\n * Ability to work independently in a remote role with travel across Europe as required.\n\nPackage & Benefits:\n\n * £95,000 – £110,000 annual salary, depending on experience.\n\n * Fully remote role with flexibility and occasional travel across Europe.\n\n * Opportunity to work on high-profile, cutting-edge projects.\n\n * Professional development and career progression support
