Job Role: Materials Planning Manager

Location: Leeds

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum

Are you a natural problem solver with a knack for keeping supply chains running smoothly?

I am working with a leading Food Manufacturing business who are looking for a Materials Planning Manager to take ownership of packaging and materials planning, ensuring production lines never stop moving.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing supplier relationships and ensuring packaging/materials are always available.
• Placing contracts and call-offs to cover demand forecasts.
• Leading safety stock reviews and tracking supplier lead times.
• Working cross-functionally with Supply, Demand, and Commercial teams.
• Driving efficiency in stock management, packaging redesigns, and new product launches.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in materials or supply chain planning.
• A confident communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams.
• Strong ERP knowledge (Sage/Infor but not essential).
• Organised, proactive, and able to stay calm under pressure.
