Position Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing innovative solutions to enhance production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and mitigate manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Manage and oversee materials management and production planning activities.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and other methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Utilize CAD software to design and modify manufacturing layouts and processes.
- Support project management efforts related to manufacturing enhancements and new product introductions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in materials management and production planning.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software for process design and optimization.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Experience in automation and implementing manufacturing technologies.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
