Fort Wayne, IN | Full-Time | M–F Day Shift (occasional weekends or extended hours possible)
$90,000 – $95,000 | ✈️ No Travel Required
Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide hands-on engineering support within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role focuses on refining processes, troubleshooting complex production issues, and developing technical solutions that enhance quality and efficiency across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily manufacturing operations by resolving technical issues on the assembly line.
- Design and implement equipment modifications to meet evolving production needs.
- Evaluate, recommend, and source new manufacturing equipment and control systems.
- Prepare operators by facilitating training and providing ongoing technical support.
- Lead technical design and process equipment testing for assigned products.
- Develop cost projections for new equipment based on ROI and operational impact.
- Assist in proposal preparation and product development for customer requirements.
- Drive defect elimination and optimize manufacturing processes for better throughput.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in a forging environment.
- Strong knowledge in process design, manufacturing, or product engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD and CAM software tools.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
