Senior Manager, Strategy, Analysis & Planning

Job Description

I am recruiting for a Senior Manager in Strategy, Analysis and Planning for my client in Cardiff.

This is a pivotal role shaping my clients long-term direction. As Senior Manager, you’ll partner with ExCo, the CFO and the Board to:

-Lead the corporate planning cycle – aligning strategy, financial planning and insight into one clear roadmap

-Translate strategic priorities into tangible, actionable plans

-Provide high-quality market, economic and competitor analysis to drive decision-making

- Monitor delivery against strategy, highlighting risks, opportunities and trade-offs

-Coordinate with Treasury on capital-raise activities to ensure strategic alignment

-Challenge and support ExCo to focus on what really matters

What we’re looking for:

-Strong stakeholder management – able to influence at every level, including Board

-Strategic thinker with a sharp analytical mindset and commercial awareness

-Proven experience turning complex data, trends and insights into clear actions

-Confident communicator – skilled at engaging and influencing through written and verbal communication

- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes

-Collaborative by nature – able to work across functions and bring people with you

Nice to have (but not essential):

Experience in financial services, banking or building societies

Consultancy or MBA background

Exposure to customer, marketing or PR strategy – adding fresh perspective
