We're seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead a dynamic team of software developers, QA engineers, and offshore resources.


Job Summary

This leadership role requires a strong technical background, proven team management experience, and a passion for developing talent. The ideal candidate will drive high-performance software initiatives, establish a culture of innovation, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.


Key Responsibilities
Oversee QA and SWE Resource Management (20%)

  • Manage the allocation and utilization of engineering resources to optimize efficiency.
  • Define and execute test strategies, objectives, and processes to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Leverage advanced testing tools such as Selenium (automation), Jira (Agile), and Eggplant (mobile testing).
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery and deployment.
  • Drive adherence to SDLC and secure development lifecycle (SDL) best practices.

Serve as Primary Contact for Offshore Resource Providers in India/Sri Lanka (50%)

  • Act as the key liaison between Addium and offshore resource providers.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee performance, productivity, and deliverables of offshore development teams.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Promote an inclusive and engaging work environment where every team member can excel.

Assist the PMO Office with Resource Planning (30%)

  • Partner with the PMO to align workforce capacity with business goals.
  • Assist in strategic resource planning and forecasting.
  • Identify risks in resource allocation and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Contribute to user story development for complex applications in an Agile environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading software development teams, including offshore resources.
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end software development and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Skills

  • Experience with secure coding practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with microservices and containerized architectures.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, or IoT is a plus.

We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering with a salary range of $120,000$130,000. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as job responsibilities and location. Starting pay and title are based on job-related criteria including the candidates experience, training, knowledge, and skills, as well as geographic location.
