The Senior Manager of Quality Control oversees all quality control operations at the GA Telesis Headquarters Distribution Center, including inbound and outbound quality assurance. This key leadership position ensures strict compliance with quality control processes and procedures, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates across departments to support company-wide goals.
Aviation experience is a must for success in this role, given the specialized nature of our operations. This position is based on-site in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Responsibilities:
- The Senior Manager Quality Control is responsible for Quality Control within the distribution center including Quality Inbound and Quality Outbound for GA Telesis Headquarter Distribution Center.
- Quality Control process and procedures compliance.
- Overseen training development, process documentation, training for new hires and refresher for existing employees; cross training to gain flexibility in Quality Control.
- Lead a team of quality control leaders and professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement and oversee quality control audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Handling of Quantum issues and correction regarding parts management, sales, or repair orders.
- Supporting Sr. Director of Global Quality Control in daily tasks and projects as needed.
- Train and mentor QC staff, promoting a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support internal and customs/business partner projects as needed.
- Assist in process improvements & GAP analysis of current processes.
- Maintain documentation and records required for quality systems and audits.
- Forecast quality control resource needs in response to production volume increases, and plan headcount and staffing accordingly to maintain inspection and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- College Degree (Bachelor or higher) or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent aviation and supply chain experience, including leadership roles.
- Familiar with the Aviation Industry.
- Able to work under stress and time constraints while meeting the goals.
- Ability to prioritize and handle internal, customers, projects & orders to meet requirements.
- General understanding of Dangerous Goods rules and regulations.
- General understanding of OSHA and Safety rules and regulations.
- Management of team(s) in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Multilingual.
- Familiar with Quantum and Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
