Job Description
Job Description This is a remote position. We are the exclusive recruitment partners for a leading international consultancy at the forefront of enabling disruptive energy technology scale-up. They specialise in advising clients from research institutes to private innovators and public agencies on how to bring emerging nuclear technologies (both fusion and advanced fission) into commercial reality.
This is a unique role for a seasoned consultant who can combine deep technical understanding, strategic acumen and commercial insight to help shape market opportunities for next- nuclear energy systems. Your Role As a Senior Management Consultant focused on commercialisation strategy, you will: Lead large-and-complex engagements with clients across the nuclear ecosystem (technology developers, governments, investors, research organisations) to define and implement market-entry, business model and commercialisation strategies for advanced nuclear technologies. Develop and own deliverables such as technology roadmaps, go-to-market plans, competitive landscaping, value-chain assessments, business case modelling and partner/ customer ecosystem strategies.
Act as the primary client interface and senior consultant: scoping projects, managing delivery teams, mentoring junior consultants, ensuring successful outcomes. Translate high-level macro trends (e.g., energy transition, policy/regulation, export markets) into actionable commercial pathways and strategic recommendations. Engage with multi-disciplinary teams spanning technical, regulatory, investment, business development and stakeholder management disciplines.
Work remotely across time-zones as part of a global project-delivery framework. Requirements A STEM-oriented degree (e.g., engineering, physics, applied sciences) and demonstrable consulting (or equivalent) experience in strategy, commercialisation or business development for technology heavy-sectors. Demonstrable experience in translating technical innovation into commercial reality: developing business models, market assessments, value chain mapping, and partnering strategies in regulated/high-complexity markets.
You understand the nuclear/energy technology ecosystem (ideally including fusion or advanced fission) though you don’t necessarily need to be a reactor-designer. You should be comfortable navigating technology, regulatory, policy and investment dimensions. You are comfortable with ambiguity, thrive in fast-moving, mission-driven environments, and can switch between “zoom-out” strategic thinking and “zoom-in” granular execution.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills: you’ll present to senior clients, lead teams, build collaboration across functions, and write clearly. You are eligible to work in the UK/Europe (and potentially globally, depending on client requirements). Benefits A meaningful role with high visibility: you’ll help shape commercial strategy for technologies that could reshape the energy system.
Autonomy and flexibility: remote working, flexible hours, global client base. Career growth: you’ll mentor others, lead engagements, and build expertise at the cutting edge of nuclear and clean-tech commercialisation. A culture of purpose: teaming with experienced professionals who care about technology, sustainability and impact.
Competitive remuneration and potential performance-based incentives (details to be discussed at offer stage). Requirements A STEM-oriented degree (e.g., engineering, physics, applied sciences) and demonstrable consulting (or equivalent) experience in strategy, commercialisation or business development for technology heavy-sectors. Demonstrable experience in translating technical innovation into commercial reality: developing business models, market assessments, value chain mapping, and partnering strategies in regulated/high-complexity markets.
