Position Overview:

Multiax Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our machinery for clients. As a Senior Service Technician at Multiax Technologies, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup

  • Plan and execute the installation of Multiax machines, ensuring all components are properly configured and operational.
  • Conduct system calibrations, including alignment, leveling, and software setup, to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to customize system settings according to their specific production requirements.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Inspect mechanical, electrical, and software systems regularly to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Upgrade hardware components and software as needed to ensure the systems remain up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Diagnostics and Repairs

  • Perform in-depth diagnostics on system malfunctions, including mechanical breakdowns, electrical faults, and software errors.
  • Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to pinpoint issues and resolve them in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Document diagnostic processes and solutions to contribute to a knowledge base for future reference.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Coordinate with other teams, including sales, engineering, retrofit and customer support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Mentor other technicians, providing guidance and sharing best practices to support their professional development.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer events, showcasing technical expertise and building brand credibility.

Customer Support and Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers experiencing technical issues, providing immediate and thorough assistance.
  • Educate customers on system operation, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance procedures to enhance their understanding and confidence.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and promoting long-term partnerships.

Technical Training

  • Conduct hands-on training sessions for customer staff, covering system operation, safety protocols, and routine maintenance.
  • Participate in the creation of training materials, such as user manuals, step-by-step guides, and video tutorials.
  • Stay updated on new system features and technologies to provide up-to-date training content.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of all service visits, including issues identified, actions taken, and parts replaced.
  • Create and share detailed service reports with customers and internal teams to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation, such as troubleshooting guides and maintenance checklists, to enhance the company’s knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a service role, preferably in the CNC automation or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CNC systems and automation technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

The Multiax facility includes 7,400 square feet of warehouse/showroom space where CNC machines are set up for performing customer sales discussions, training, and demos. We have a large spare parts area for organizing and shipping spare parts as needed by our customers.
