Senior Logistics Specialist

Job Description Our client, an international leader in the pharma industry is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join an operation in South Dublin for a permanent hybrid position. Senior Logistics SpecialistThe Role:This global organisation are further developing their Logistics function and hiring a Specialist with no less than 2 years in a similar role. It is expected you will take ownership of your role and drive to ensure best practice is the norm and customers are impacted positively by your initiatives. The opertation is young in this global organisation and the opportunity to make your mark could determine the trajectory of yoru career with this client. There is unlimited room for growth within the position and company.Responsibilities:Manage relationships and communication with our contracted freight forwarders/carriers and 3PL for international freight.Be an expert in managing shipments of all classes, (i.e. hazardous shipments, ocean, air and over the road freight).Support the preparation and gathering of information any reports or documentation that is to be shared with key stakeholders to help deliver great service at the best possible costs.Provide operations visibility and tracking of inbound and outbound containers where required.Be open to cross-functional training to provide cover within team roles as required.Maintain and monitor container flows, shipping documentation, regulatory requirements, and customs declarations as required for all shipment types.Liase with 3PL Distribution centres in the event of issue resolution on inbound loads or additional capacity requiredThis is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to change and amendment.
