Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Loan Operations Manager (IBS) to oversee the daily operations and administration of the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate setup, servicing, and ongoing maintenance of commercial credit facilities while upholding regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in commercial banking operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering superior internal and external client service. This person also has the ability to attract and recruit top-talent to their team.


Key Responsibilities:

Loan Servicing & Administration

  • Manage all aspects of the commercial loan servicing life cycle, including loan boarding, payment processing, rate adjustments, renewals, and payoff activities utilizing the FIS-IBS core banking system.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documentation and data input into the core banking system.
  • Oversee collateral tracking, covenant compliance, escrow management, and insurance monitoring for all commercial credit facilities.
  • Coordinate the resolution of exceptions, discrepancies, or operational issues promptly and effectively.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all loan servicing activities adhere to internal policies, credit procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements (OCC, FDIC, etc.).
  • Support audit and regulatory examinations by providing documentation, reports, and subject matter expertise.
  • Implement quality control measures to mitigate operational and credit risk within the servicing function.

Process Optimization & Reporting

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance servicing efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times.
  • Produce regular portfolio reports and metrics for management, highlighting trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with technology and operations teams to optimize systems, workflows, and automation initiatives.


Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of servicing specialists, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Treasury, and Legal to support client needs and resolve servicing-related inquiries.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex servicing matters requiring judgment and cross-functional coordination.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (accounting experienced ).
  • 15+ years of experience in commercial loan servicing, commercial banking operations, or related functions.
  • Superior knowledge and experience of the FIS-IBS core banking system is required.
  • Proven track record of managing loan servicing teams or processes in a commercial banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation, collateral requirements, regulatory compliance, and credit operations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client service and cross-department collaboration.
  • Proficiency with commercial banking systems and loan servicing software.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and audit software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to various sites as required by the role.

Position Type:

This position is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Direct Reports:

This position is responsible for managing direct reports.

Travel:

Some travel is expected for this position.
