Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Linux & Automation Engineer with extensive experience in Linux system administration and Ansible automation, along with a strong foundation in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and the confidence to contribute ideas and challenge assumptions. This role also requires a willingness to work occasional nights and weekends to support mission-critical operations and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux systems (primarily RHEL or compatible distributions) across enterprise and hybrid environments.

  • Design and implement reliable, scalable Ansible playbooks and roles to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration.

  • Investigate and resolve complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with security, application, and network teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Document system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting workflows to support transparency and knowledge sharing.

  • Participate in team meetings and project discussions, offering clear input and advocating for technical best practices.

  • Support critical systems during off-hours, including evenings and weekends, as part of an on-call schedule or planned maintenance windows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Linux system administration and automation engineering.

  • Advanced proficiency with Ansible, including reusable playbook and role development.

  • Deep understanding of Linux internals, system security, performance tuning, and package management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and voice ideas or concerns effectively.

  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours when required to support high-availability systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with RHEL or some favor of Linux and hybrid infrastructure.

  • Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE.

  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows, Infrastructure as Code, and other automation tools (e.g., Terraform).

  • Background in enterprise IT, managed services, or large-scale operational support.
