UNEW, Inc., formerly ETS Power Group, Inc., is an ISO-certified provider of dimensional inspection services. UNEW utilizes the most advanced techniques for performing automated computer-aided dimensional inspections.
As a Senior Layout Engineer, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor responsible for performing advanced dimensional inspections and delivering high-quality metrology results with minimal supervision. You will leverage deep technical expertise in Zeiss Inspect (formerly GOM Inspect) and related metrology software to execute complex inspection tasks, interpret blueprints, and ensure compliance with stringent aerospace and industrial specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced dimensional inspections on a wide variety of complex components using Zeiss Inspect / GOM Inspect and 3D scanning systems such as ATOS.
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to validate dimensional compliance.
- Analyze and report inspection results in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, AS9100, and NADCAP requirements.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements, present inspection results, and support root cause analysis when required.
- Apply sound metrology principles, including gage R&R, measurement uncertainty, and traceability standards.
- Work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization within the Inspection Services team.
Requirements
- Mandatory experience with Zeiss Inspect / GOM Inspect for dimensional analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of 3D scanning systems, inspection workflows, and computer-aided metrology.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO17025, AS9100, and NADCAP standards.
- Proven ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy and accountability.
- Understanding of gage R&R, measurement uncertainty, and statistical analysis methods.
- U.S. person status required (per ITAR regulations).
