\nA large U.S.-based financial technology organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and support cloud-based backend services used at scale. This role focuses on Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and AWS within a distributed, high-availability environment.
\nThis is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning features from design through production. The team works on systems where reliability, performance, and security are critical, and contractors are treated as core contributors who collaborate closely with product, QA, and architecture partners.\nRequired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong Java development experience
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
- Experience working in AWS or cloud-based environments
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with source control and code reviews
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments

Desired Skills & Experience
- Microservices or SOA-based architecture experience
- Event-driven or asynchronous systems
- Automated testing frameworks (unit and functional)
- CI/CD or deployment automation experience
- Experience supporting production applications

What You Will Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java
- Build and support cloud- applications on AWS
- Participate in technical design discussions
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and support existing services

The Offer
- Hourly Rate: $75/hour min – $90/hour max
