Eye Designs LLC, established in 1989, is the leading design firm that assists eyecare professionals with the planning, designing, and producing of successful retail and medical environments. Our client base is across the nation and we serve independent eyecare professionals, retail chains, universities and large medical clinics. We operate out of our state-of-the-art 150,000 s.f. facility in Collegeville, PA. We fabricate retail displays and medical cabinetry to enhance our designs. We offer comprehensive Interior Design Services and specialized lighting solutions for our clients.
We currently have a great opportunity for a Commercial Senior Designer to join our team in our Collegeville, PA facility. We are looking for an experienced, creative, passionate individual with a drive for success to grow our team!
This position will be responsible for collaborating directly with the client along with the Sales team, other members of the Design Team and support / production staff to bring design concepts to life through detailed design and construction documentation. Full interior design services such as and finish selections, seating, lighting and all other aspects of the interior details will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounts from design through post installation to ensure client satisfaction with process and products.
- Develop construction documentation to include (but not limited to) Finish Schedules, Architectural, Electrical and Reflected Ceiling Plans.
- Complete Architectural Sections, Elevations and Details.
- Coordinate and facilitate the integration of drawings from architects into Eye Designs AutoCAD Standards.
- Facilitate work under the direction of the Design Director in coordination with the Regional Sales Managers.
- Assist clients with making final design selections via in person meetings, zoom/teams calls and phone calls/email.
- Complete sign off package drawings and obtain client approval for production.
- Respond to client and contractor inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Review contracts and drawings for changes upon return from clients; consulting with clients and/or Design Team as necessary.
- Create efficient floor plans to optimize patient flow.
- Create shells, 2D and 3D drawings based on client program requirements.
- Keep abreast of latest industry trends by meeting with design reps, maintaining design library, and participating in various educational opportunities.
- Follow Design Department standards for AutoCAD drawings.
- Additional responsibilities available based on experience.
- Face to Face client meetings in Collegeville, PA.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in AutoCAD 3-D; AutoCAD Architectural .
- Knowledge of SketchUp or Revit a plus but not required.
- In depth Knowledge of Commercial Interior Finishes.
- Understanding of purchasing and reselling is helpful in this role.
- Ten years of Commercial / Medical / Hospitality Interior design
- Cabinetry experience
- Highly detail orientated individual with ability to multi-task.
- Solid knowledge of construction documentation.
- Proven ability to space plan utilizing client programming.
- Follow Design Department standards for AutoCAD drawings.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Ability to sell seating, flooring and other finishing elements
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. NCIDQ .
- Ten years of Commercial Interior Design experience.
- Experience creating space plans and developing full set construction documents.
- Full portfolio to be reviewed at time of interview with references.
