Compensation Range:
$32.00 - $45.00 per hour. This position is non-exempt under FLSA. Final pay rate will depend on internal equity, salary ranges, skills, experience, and market conditions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Denver-based team. You will work directly with construction managers and project engineers to observe and inspect transportation projects.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining effective documentation, including daily reports with photos and summaries of construction activity.
Inspecting, monitoring, and evaluating construction work for compliance with codes, standards, and specifications by reviewing plans, blueprints, and construction methods.
Evaluating construction materials and measuring dimensions against blueprints and schematics.
Observing construction activities for conformance to contract documents.
Using inspection tools like measuring tapes, levels, and test equipment.
Providing feedback and collaborating to resolve issues.
Wearing proper PPE and reporting unsafe conditions.
Identifying and preventing safety and hazard concerns on-site.
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of transportation construction inspection experience.
Relevant inspection certificates (e.g., erosion control, OSHA 10-hr, confined space, etc.).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, cloud file servers, and GIS software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and able to work remotely from a vehicle or field office.
Travel and Working Conditions:
Frequent travel to sites and client offices. Valid driver's license and insurance required. Work involves exposure to weather, dust, fumes, traffic, and water hazards.
