Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that is transforming the healthcare technology industry. As a Senior Development Engineer, you’ll work as part of our implementation team and work closely with our engineering and client services teams to translate business requirements into design and then into working code that handles custom data formats, workflow, and rules. You’ll work with a top-tier engineering team building green solutions that power healthcare EDI transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take on a key role in the full implementation development life cycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Design, implement and support EDI application integrations to convert data to/from X12 EDI, XML, JSON, and proprietary formats.
- Interface with Client Managers and Quality Assurance to ensure accurate delivery of project requirements and compliance with standards, code quality and accepted conventions.
- Interact with technical staff of partners and customers. Execute and support User Acceptance Testing in conjunction with those parties.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to team including experienced and junior developers and testers.
- Apply DevOps principles to manage and maintain implementation testing environments.
- Play a key role in initiatives for test automation and CI/CD pipeline enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for improvements, innovation and new technologies that will help Jopari with data integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and implementation issues.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy standards (HIPAA/PHI/PII).
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or similar .
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Demonstrated experience with Single Sign-on (SAML, OAuth).
- Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including complex query writing.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), build tools (Maven, Gradle) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare transaction processing, X12 EDI, and clearinghouse operations.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and Shift Left practices (e.g., TDD).
- Experience with Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
