About the Role:

The Senior HVAC Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a variety of commercial and residential settings. This position requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, to deliver reliable climate control solutions. The Senior HVAC Technician will lead complex projects, mentor junior employees, and collaborate with clients and team members to meet and exceed service expectations. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential system issues and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime. Ultimately, the Senior HVAC Technician ensures that all HVAC operations comply with industry standards and regulations, contributing to the comfort and safety of building occupants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited HVAC technical training program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Valid HVAC technician certification or license as required by local or state regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, refrigeration cycles, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Supervisory skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions using specialized tools and technical manuals.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians by providing guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance and knowledge.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their HVAC needs, provide expert recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate service records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve service quality.
  • Supervision of a small team.
