Senior HVAC Engineer

NY Building Systems Consultant Inc. (NYBSC) is a Professional Engineering and Energy Consulting Company. It was formed by industry professionals that each has a more than 10 years’ experience. NYBSC Energy and Engineering team is comprised of individuals with complete industry certifications including NYS & CTS Registered Professional Engineers (PE), Existing Building Commissioning Professional (EBCP), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

Experience: You should have demonstrated experience in at least five of the following areas:

· Load calculations and some Energy modeling experience

· Design mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.

· Familiarity with codes, specifically NYCECC, CMR, IMC, ASHRAE standards 55, 62.1, 90.1

· Familiar with LL97, LL87, energy auditing and commissioning.

· Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems using AutoCAD.

· Select equipment for use in building systems.

· Manage a small project, work area or technical skill set, monitor quality of work, and is involved in client liaison.

Requirements:

Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

Ø 4+ years of experience in commercial and residential HVAC design.

Ø PE License .

Ø LEED AP .

Ø Experience in Revit .

Ø Proven interest in the field of building design and energy savings.
