JOB ADVERT A fixed term contract role for a Senior HR Business Partner role, based in Cramlington, Newcastle. This role is to provide maternity cover for a minimum period of 8 months. Your new role The Senior HR Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring we have the right people, in the right seats, with the right skills to enable us to deliver, through highly effective HR business partnering. The Senior HR Business Partner is accountable for: HR business partnering – supporting the business to deliver through highly effective HR business partnering, always following best practice throughout the full employee life cycle (recruitment, onboarding, success management and exiting). Effectively partner with key stakeholders to execute the tactics and support the delivery of any people related requirements / plans / initiatives. Success management – coach and support managers to effectively manage and develop their people so that we achieve positive employee experiences and retain highly motivated effective people. Including utilising tools such as office vibe to monitor and drive employee engagement with leadership teams. HR advice, guidance and support – support complex employee relations cases including disciplinaries, performance management, grievances, retirement, redundancy, absence management etc. Be seen as a trusted advisor on all HR related matters. HR administration – overall accountability for administration of the HR systems and records. HR processes – HR processes are followed by all managers and employees that support Osprey to have the Right People in the Right Seats. Including holding managers accountable for following all Osprey HR processes. HR projects – as part of the HR team, collaborate effectively to deliver, coordinate and manage HR Projects, initiatives and programmes. What you’ll need to succeed The successful candidate will have: CIPD qualification (min level 5) Proven generalist HR experience in fast-paced HR function (circa 6 years) (preference is for business partnering experience and someone that is able to operate both strategically and operationally) Experience in developing and supporting managers through change Experience in coordinating and managing HR projects and initiatives Experience in people strategy execution and continuous development Coaching/mentoring managers to develop their teams and people, whilst coaching them through people management challenges Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of employment law / legislation, and its application areas, including employment T&C’s Best practice knowledge (and experience) in effectively managing employee relations cases (grievance, disciplinaries etc.) Understanding and knowledge of the key principles of coaching Exceptional organisational and planning skills Ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including use of Microsoft 365 suite) Dynamic, resilient and problem-solving approach to their work Effective influencing skills / capability Self-starter who can demonstrate initiative, with the ability to effectively prioritise workload Able to manage conflict and sensitive issues whilst achieving positive outcomes Proven leadership capabilities and be a strong team player.
