Are you an experienced Senior Health, Safety & Security Manager with experience of working on large infrastructure projects?\n\nDo you have experience of working at design phase and for either the client or main contractor?\n\nRate: £480-£500 day inside IR35 \nContract length: Initial 3 months \n Project: HS2 Euston Station\n\nLocation: Euston 3/4 days a week on site\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Security Manager for an interim role on the landmark HS2 Euston station project. This is a client-side position offering a unique opportunity to influence the safety and design of one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. \nThis is an urgent requirement, and we are looking for a "safe pair of hands" to start as soon as possible.\n\nThe Role: \nReporting to the interim Head of Health & Safety, you will be responsible for providing expert assurance across the entire Euston station portfolio.
You will work collaboratively with the main contractor (MDJV) and their supply chain, ensuring alignment with HS2's standards and deliverables.\n\nYour responsibilities will include: \n·Overseeing health, safety, and security across multiple work packages. \n·Ensuring compliance with CDM expectations and works packages. \n·Conducting collaborative audits and assurances, both on-site and paper-based.
\n·Reviewing designs and documentation, providing influential input during the current design phase. \n·Acting as the "eyes and ears" on the ground for the central security team. \n·Monitoring on-site construction activities, which currently include utilities, excavations, tunnelling, and vibration monitoring.
\n·Managing interfaces with the public, traffic management, and community engagement through the Euston Partnership (TEP). \n·Working with Health and Safety Performance Indicators (HSPIs).\n\nAbout You: \nWe are looking for a proactive and influential H&S professional who can quickly embed themselves within the project teams. \n·Qualifications: A Level 6 H&S qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) is .
However, extensive relevant experience is considered more important than qualifications.\n\nExperience: \noProven experience in complex, fast-paced environments. Backgrounds in major stations, airports, or large-scale mixed-use commercial developments are highly desirable. \noExperience from either a client-side or main contractor background is welcome.
\noStrong construction site experience is essential. Experience in design review is also highly beneficial. \noFamiliarity with building regulations and working near the public/children is useful.
\noExperience with projects like Crossrail or Tideway is an advantage due to similar terminology.\n\nSkills: Strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to influence design and project teams
