Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Simulation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to support the electrical design, grid integration, and simulation studies for onshore and offshore wind projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with grid codes, performing power system studies, and optimizing grid connection strategies related to Grid Connection required anywhere in the EMEA region for onshore and offshore wind projects. The Senior Grid Simulation Engineer will work in conjunction with other MYSE technical support team members and the technical departments of the parent company, to ensure a successful connection to the grid of the different windfarm projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD, PowerFactory, PSS/E, ETAP) to develop grid models and assess grid performance.
- Perform power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, dynamic, and transient stability studies including harmonic studies.
- Evaluate the impact of onshore and offshore wind farms on existing grid infrastructure and propose mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in onshore and offshore wind grid connection and power system studies.
- Proficiency in power system simulation tools (e.g. DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSS/E).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

- Ability to rearrange and shift priorities in a changing situation
- Good technical skills with a focus on creative solutions and motivation to meet customer needs
- Ability to summarize technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
