Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a proven track record in geotechnical investigations, analysis, and project management. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong client communication skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. This is a leadership-track position with opportunities to grow into an executive or partner-level role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through delivery

• Plan and oversee subsurface investigations, laboratory testing programs, and field explorations

• Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, and retaining wall design

• Prepare and review technical reports, construction documents, and design recommendations

• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and field staff

• Interface directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

• Contribute to strategic business development and proposal writing

• Participate in company growth initiatives, including potential ownership opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) License

• 8–10+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience

• Proven project management experience, including budgets, schedules, and client coordination

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills that pertain to engineering

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
