About the Role:
The Senior Floating Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities on floating assets, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians and engineers to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on complex marine and offshore equipment. The supervisor will develop maintenance schedules, manage resources, and liaise with other departments to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan. A critical aspect of the role is to enforce safety standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ultimately, the Senior Floating Maintenance Supervisor ensures that floating units remain fully operational, safe, and compliant with industry standards, supporting the overall business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance supervision within the maritime or offshore industry.
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams on floating assets such as vessels or offshore platforms.
- Strong knowledge of marine and offshore equipment maintenance practices and safety regulations.
- Certification in safety and maintenance management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is required.
Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in marine engineering or offshore maintenance management.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations such as SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code.
- Leadership training or certification.
- Experience working in multicultural and multinational teams.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise all maintenance activities on floating assets, including vessels, platforms, and related equipment.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary maintenance team to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of parts and resources.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime and offshore safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance records, reports, and documentation for regulatory and internal use.
- Manage emergency maintenance situations effectively to minimize operational disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and reduce costs.
