Job Summary:
We are looking for a
seasoned Fire Protection Engineer
to take the lead in tender preparation and project execution for EPC/EPCm contracts, with a strong focus on fire safety systems. This position will play a key role in planning, designing, and overseeing fire protection scopes within engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and technical compliance from design through to commissioning.
Requirements:
A
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering , or a related field from a recognized institution.
5–10 years of experience in fire protection engineering within EPC or EPCm project environments .
Proficient in engineering tools such as
Pipenet, FlowMaster, PHAST, and AutoCAD , with the ability to guide and support junior team members.
Well-versed in
both local and international fire protection standards and regulations .
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced project setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Job Scope:
Serve as the main technical lead for fire protection scopes during tendering and execution phases of EPC/EPCm projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
Manage project timelines, manpower planning, and engineering deliverables related to fire protection systems.
Prepare and develop critical engineering documents, including design philosophies, technical specifications, P&IDs for firewater and sprinkler systems, hydraulic calculations, and layout drawings.
Review and validate design documentation, datasheets, and vendor submissions to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Liaise and coordinate with clients, project teams, discipline engineers, and vendors to support smooth project progression.
Provide on-site engineering support during construction and commissioning phases to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful system handover.
