Overview
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager plays a strategic leadership role in driving enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Reporting to the Treasurer, this position partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights that guide key decisions and support long-term growth initiatives. This role requires a results-driven leader with advanced financial acumen, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills to translate financial data into actionable strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
- Lead the development of the annual operating plan, long-range forecasts, and strategic financial models.
- Partner with the Treasurer to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Enhance and oversee FP&A processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across departments.
- Deliver high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with insights and recommendations.
- Perform scenario modeling, business case analysis, and investment evaluations to support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Serve as a finance business partner to department leaders, delivering decision support and performance tracking.
- Mentor and guide FP&A team members, fostering growth and accountability.
- Support the development and implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA .
- 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with 3+ years of team leadership.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting at a corporate level.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query, and SQL a plus.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience working with senior leaders and presenting financial information to stakeholders.
