The Position: The Sr Financial Analyst, Supply Chain & Operations provides consultative and strategic financial analysis to business leaders, with a focus on metrics that give insight to the company’s supply chain, operations and manufacturing processes. They are a systems thinker who can connect financial outcomes to supply chain strategy and operations. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, interpret data, offer insights, and drive operational change. They have a focus and ownership on key performance indicators and reporting related to profitability and margin analysis and are a key contributor to financial budgeting and modeling.

The Location: Hybrid combining working from home, and onsite in White River Junction VT roughly 2-3 days per month. Ideal candidates will be located within a 2–3-hour drive of our offices.
The Pay: $88,500 to $119,500 annual salary; commensurate with experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze monthly financial results, distilling key trends, and communicating business insights

Perform specific financial reviews for Operations business leaders

Lead financial review of supply chain strategic processes, including network optimization, partner RFP’s and rate adjustments

Acts as the Finance Department liaison to select businesses and departments, forecasting results, tracking departmental KPIs, as well as providing ad-hoc financial analyses

Responsible for the periodic review and update of standard costed inventory records

Develop and maintain standard costing KPIs for supply chain team; evaluate costing impacts on finished goods

Assess manufacturing performance and identify improvement opportunities

Work with internal teams as well as external resources to evaluate freight execution and assess financial performance

Validate master data and address necessary modifications

Collaborate on company inventory strategies to optimize service, cost, and working capital

Lead financial work in decision support tools, including make vs buy analysis and should-cost modeling

Responsible for development, performance, and reporting of margin and inventory metrics and KPIs

Initiate and guide cross-functional root cause analysis, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and opportunity realization throughout the end-to-end supply chain

Foster a metrics-driven action-oriented culture that delivers best in class service and business performance
Experience and Education
-
Degree in business, accounting, or finance
-
5+ years of professional experience in finance or accounting field with progressive responsibility in financial planning and analysis

5+ years’ hands-on experience with demonstrated expertise in automated planning, data management, accounting and analysis systems – ERP, MRP, Forecasting (SAP S/4HANA )

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office

Demonstrated track record of leading complex financial analyses through to completion, manage multiple deliverables and consistently meet deadlines.

Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and operations management including modern tools, methodologies, and practices with the ability to drive continuous process improvement

Proficient with advanced analytics tools – SSRS, Data Cubes, MS Power BI, Tableau

Technical system and database acumen: Demonstrated experience and expertise in automated Procure to Pay and Plannings systems – ERP, MRP, EDI/API, Forecasting (SAP S/4HANA ). Working knowledge of SAP S4/Hana, and experience in advanced analytics tools including Data Cubes and MS Power BI.
