Senior Fiber Technology Engineer in Southampton

We’re looking for an experienced Fibre Technology Engineer to join a growing team developing high-power laser systems for demanding industrial applications. You’ll play a central part in supporting new product development and driving improvements in the next of fibre laser technology.



In this role, you’ll design, build, and test fibre laser systems, including hands-on work with fibre splicing and performance testing. You’ll also collaborate closely with production teams to ensure a smooth transition from research and development into full-scale manufacturing.



To succeed, you’ll need a strong background in fibre optics or laser engineering, with experience in fibre laser design, testing, and troubleshooting. You should be confident working in a lab environment, solving complex technical problems, and communicating clearly with engineers from different disciplines.



A degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field is required, and a higher degree such as a PhD would be an advantage.
