The Senior Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the operational efficiency of our facilities. This position requires a proactive individual who possesses a strong technical background and exceptional problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will oversee various maintenance tasks, ensuring that all systems function effectively and meet safety standards. This role also involves supervising junior technicians and collaborating with other departments to provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
Work with Maintenance and Production personnel to identify equipment issues, troubleshoot/diagnose, and make heavy repairs on all production related equipment, electrical controls and facility infrastructure. Work with vendors, field service, and technical representatives to ensure our equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet production needs. Perform all basic electrical work in the facility (i.e. relocating machines/processes, electrical outlets, lights, etc.) Experience using electrical testing equipment. Expert knowledge and use of power and hand tools. Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Understand and perform new machine installation. Experience with PLC/CNC operation. Train, assist, and direct facility/maintenance personnel in all activities. Organize work areas for efficiency and safety; Implement and carryout an effective lock out/tag out program and communicate safety issues to leadership. Other tasks/projects as assigned.
