Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering | Wakefield | £60,000 – £70,000 + Package
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £00,000 – £70,000 per annum (DOE) + Car Allowance + Benefits
About the Company
Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and framework projects across Yorkshire and the North of England. With a strong pipeline of work across highways, active travel, public realm and infrastructure, they are now looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced Estimator.
The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of tender submissions and project costings. Working closely with senior management, engineers, and clients, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates across a range of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and infrastructure projects
Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents to produce bills of quantities and take-offs
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities
Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders
Support the commercial team during project handover and delivery
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering or groundworks sector
Strong understanding of infrastructure, highways and public realm
Proficient in estimating software and MS Excel
Excellent analytical and communication skills
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline ()
