Senior Estimator / Cost Estimator - Civils - Perm or Contract

Job Description

Senior Estimator / Cost Estimator with a strong background working on large civil engineering projects (earthworks, tunnelling, bridges etc) required for a permanent or contract opportunity in London. \n\nThis role will see you work on a wide variety of civil engineering projects across the rail, nuclear and highways sectors. Hybrid working is offered by applicants must be happy to work three days a week in the office.

\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProviding detailed cost estimates for large earthworks packages, bridges, tunnels, and other heavy civils works\nSupporting the project team with accurate cost and quantity estimates\nAnalysing project specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project estimates\nDeveloping and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers\nEnsuring estimates are robust, accurate, and meet all required standards and regulations\nWorking collaboratively with the project management team to advise on cost issues and budget considerations\nMonitoring ongoing project costs and providing regular updates to stakeholders\nPreparing cost forecasts and risk analyses for various phases of heavy civils projects\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExtensive experience in estimating within heavy civils projects\nKnowledge of key sectors such as Highways, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, and Rail\nCompetent in using estimating software and other relevant tools\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and project specifications\nStrong analytical and numerical skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\nRelevant degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package for permanent staff\nOpportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects\nProfessional development and training opportunities\nSupportive and collaborative work environment\nFlexible contract options also available\nIf you are an experienced Senior Estimator or Cost Estimator with a passion for heavy civils projects, we would love to hear from you
