Senior Building Automation Estimator
$140,000 - $180,000 + Bonus + Covered Travel Expenses + Work + Remote Work
About the Role
As a Senior Building Automation Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing contract proposal estimates for building automation and control system projects. This includes reviewing project plans and specifications, determining scope, and developing accurate cost estimates. You will work across plan/spec, design-assist, or design-build projects of varying scale and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating & Proposal Development: Independently prepare detailed estimates, evaluate project scope, and assist with proposal strategy and interviews.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project takeoffs, proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and clients to support long-term success.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of estimating, engineering, or trade experience in building automation, controls, or related construction.
- Strong knowledge of estimating strategies, techniques, and construction contracts.
- Advanced experience with Tridium & Niagara platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Proven ability to participate in and support the proposal interview process.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
