Client: Mission Staffing of Texas
Location: Austin, TX 78751
Remote Policy: Remote with potential for onsite meetings. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Austin, TX.

Job Description:

Performs advanced business and system analysis and design for the Accounts Receivable and Billing applications for the CAPPS Financials statewide system. This position will analyze, review, and alter application functionality to support business processes and procedures for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) and other state agencies.

Job Duties:

• Performs advanced business and systems analysis work.
• Gathers requirements and identifies gaps between requirements and software functionality.
• Develops and maintains system documentation.
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Coordinates work with others, including planning, organizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Required Skills:

• 8 years: Experience in systems analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• 8 years: Experience with business process analysis and fit-gap documentation.
• 5 years: Experience supporting PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 or similar ERP AR/Billing systems.
• 5 years: Experience in analysis and documentation of complex business rules, process flows, and system requirements.
• 5 years: Experience writing functional design documents and test plans/scripts.
• 5 years: Experience conducting system and user acceptance testing.
• 5 years: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

• 3 years: Experience with Texas CPA’s CAPPS Financials.
• 3 years: Experience with PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
• 3 years: Experience with SharePoint, Jira, and STAT tools.
• Experience working with state government and public sector clients.

Additional Notes:

• Must reside within 50 miles of Austin, TX.
• Background check and drug screen required prior to onboarding.
• Contract term is through August 31, 2025, with possible extension.
