Position Summary:
Develop and implement strategic plans for EHS growth and management at Timken Asheboro. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and EPA. Oversee EHS tasks and provide clear compliance communication and training. Collaborate with workers, contractors, and vendors to clarify EHS expectations. Partner with plant leaders to ensure training, awareness, and compliance for all associates. Create and track performance metrics, sharing results with leadership and staff. Use problem-solving to reduce hazards and improve EHS. Lead improvement projects aligned with site goals, providing regular updates.
Essential Responsibilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NCHDES regulations
Proficient understanding of Workers' Compensation, FMLA, and STD policies
Demonstrated leadership and performance management capabilities
Skilled in assessing current conditions, envisioning optimal outcomes, and crafting effective plans
Proven ability to execute and oversee long-term strategic initiatives
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong systematic thinking with advanced diagnostic and problem-solving expertise
Experience in Lean Manufacturing is
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science-Environmental, Health & Safety or Bachelor of Science-Engineering or related field
2-3 years in Manufacturing Project Management
2-3 years in Environmental, Health & Safety OSHA Regulatory Standards
