This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead a dedicated team and drive impactful projects.\n\nPosition: Senior Environmental Health Officer\nContract Type: Temp to Perm\nHourly Rate: £25.86 PAYE or £34.24 UMB - Negotiable \nWorking Pattern: Full Time\nDriving Required: Yes\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupervise a dynamic team of up to 6 FTE, including Environmental Health Officers, Housing Enforcement Officers, and Property licencing Officers.\nConduct inspections and enforce statutory actions to ensure compliance with housing standards.\nProvide expert advice to landlords, tenants, and stakeholders on private sector housing regulations.\nInitiate legal actions, including prosecutions, against non-compliant landlords.\nLead investigations of complaints and implement proactive projects to enhance the renting experience.\nAdminister property licencing schemes to uphold high standards in housing.\nEngage with various stakeholders, including the general public, contractors, and housing charities.

What We're Looking For:\n\nProven experience in environmental health standards and housing enforcement.\nStrong team supervision and decision-making skills.\nExcellent complaint investigation abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.\nKnowledge of public health, fire safety, and energy efficiency regulations.\nEffective contract management and financial oversight capabilities.\nA valid driving licence and the willingness to travel for work purposes.
